The Minnesota Wild will get one of their young snipers back from injury this week.
The Wild have activated forward Justin Fontaine from the injured reserve Monday the team announced. The 27-year-old was sidelined for three weeks with an oblique injury he suffered during training camp.
Fontaine will make his season debut Thursday against the Arizona Coyotes.
He recorded a career-high 31 points in 71 games last season.
With the team announcing that forward Tyler Graovac has been placed on IR because of a lower-body injury in Thursday's season opener, the activation of Fontaine should be a significant boost to the offense.
