There might be a swap in the books coming to the Minnesota Wild. According to sources, St. Louis Blues defenseman Nate Prosser could be placed on waivers shortly, and the Wild could look to acquire him for a third stint with the team.

The 31-year-old veteran has only played one game for the Blues this season after 282 for the Wild the previous eight seasons. A move could be made after both clubs face off  in St. Louis on Saturday.

Wild GM Chuck Fletcher could be looking for a change on his blue line since third-pair defensemen Kyle Quincey, Mike Reilly and Gustav Olofsson appear to be struggling this season.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau has essentially rotated the three as a nightly healthy scratch and a change of scenery could do them good.

Many NHL teams are seeking help on the back and might want to take a chance if one of them hits the waiver wire soon.
