Will Rangers be players during Free Agency?

The Rangers enter free agency still having one of the best defense cores in the league. That being said, I think its safe to say their main focus will be on their forwards. They came up short tying to make it to the cup finals for the second year in a row. A second consecutive conference final isn't bad but you know the Rangers want more. Glen Sather kept himself busy at the draft. We all knew Cam Talbot would be leaving and he did so Sather went and acquired Antti Raanta from Chicago to fill in the backup goalie position. He also moved Carl Hagelin to Anaheim for Emerson Etem. With these trades he also added a bunch of draft picks and in a deep draft, that is always good. Another player that wont be back is Martin St.Louis. He was unfortunately not the same player as last year in the playoffs. So that is a hole that will need to be filled as well as resigning their restricted free agents, Derek Stepan being their number one priority. After resigning Stepan, there will not be tons of cap space left. So Sather will have to find some cheap pieces to add.
