There have been some questionable plays during this year's Western Semifinal, and this will likely rank up with those.
During Saturday's clash between the San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues, Sharks forward Tommy Wingels laid a questionable hit on Blues forward Robby Fabbri.
Fabbri releases the puck and Wingels comes across to hit Fabbri. He dumps Fabbri with a check that sends him careening into the boards. The hit is late and occurs mere feet from the view of the referee.
Despite the proximity of the official, no penalty was called on the play.
