Wings sign prospect after acquiring him in trade.

The Detroit Red Wings wasted little time.

After it was announced earlier today that the team had acquired prospect Dylan Sadowy in a trade with the San Jose Sharks, and they quickly secured the young man with a new contract. Sadowy would have been eligible to re-enter the draft at the end of this season, and in order to avoid that the Wings have signed him to a three year entry level contract.

The Wings have not yet made the announcement official, however TSN hockey insider Bob McKenzie has reported the deal has in fact been agreed upon and Sadowy has signed on as a Red Wing.
