The Buffalo Sabres will visit the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday. At first glance, the game does not mean much, both teams being out of the playoffs picture for now. But this matchup way bigger than a simple game of hockey.

Sunday's contest between Buffalo and Winnipeg will mark Evander Kane's return to the MTS Centre.

Kane is ready for all sort of chants and taunts from the Jets' crowd:

"I'm sure it will be interesting and entertaining," Kane told reporters during a locker room scrum in Buffalo this week. It can be hostile," Kane was quoted by The Buffalo News website as saying of the arena atmosphere. "They've got some passionate fans there. I guess that's the way to put it, passionate."

Evander Kane was a controversial figure in Winnipeg. With undeniable skills on the ice, his off-ice behaviour and comments made headlines many times in Winnipeg. He officially became public enemy number 1 in the city when he claimed this Summer that he asked for a trade every off-season since the Atlanta Trashers moved and his accusation of racism by Winnipeg's fanbase.

A Twitter campaign was created lately to encourage people to dress in track suit referring to Kane's internal suspension of one game, because of his violation of the team's dress code.
