It is absolutely incredible what a Stanley Cup can do to the value of a hockey Franchise. Well for the Chicago Blackhawks it happened 3 times in a span of 6 years in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
A team which struggled with profit compared to the other NHL Original Six teams, the Blackhawks franchise has made a huge comeback and competes with the best of the best. From 2010 to November 2015 the team has increased in value from $300 million to a staggering $925 million. That is a $625-million-dollar increase within 5 seasons of hockey.
According to Forbes the team ranks #4 as the highest valued hockey team only being surpassed by the New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs all valued at above $1 Billion.
