You won't believe what Phil Kessel is eating out of the Cup today.

It's really hard not to like Pittsburgh Penguins forward Phil Kessel, at least from the outside looking in.

Kessel who was often much maligned during his tenure as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs has seen a drastic turn around in his career becoming a two-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Kessel hasn't forgotten the fans who were kind to him in Toronto however and on Monday he hilariously poked fun at himself, and his times as a Maple Leaf, when he published a picture of himself with the Stanley Cup on Instagram.

In the picture Kessel can be seen eating multiple hot dogs out of the Stanley Cup, referencing a time that reporter Steve Simmonds published what appears to have been a bogus story about Kessel eating hot dogs everyday.

No doubt this will only further endear Keseel to NHL fans.
