Young Penguins forward says he's ready to step up for Rust.

With the status of Pittsburgh Penguin Bryan Rust in doubt for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, the burden could fall to other members of the organization's roster.

One of the men slated to step into the line up if Rust is unavaiable is 24 year old forward Beau Bennett, who's last appearance in the playoffs  in the Tampa Bay serieswas a little disappointing . To be fair to Bennett he was coming off a shoulder injury at the time, but he's not making excuses and has voewed to be better if called upon.

“If I'm slotted in there, I've got to be able to make a contribution right away,” Bennett said as per the Tribune Review. “I think I was maybe playing a little too cautious my first time around there.”

Only time will tell if his number is called.
