Toronto Maple Leafs fans who have been railing for the team to make a move to improve the team’s defence may want to take at look at the NHL’s waiver wire this afternoon.

The Minnesota Wild have placed defenceman Kyle Quincey on waivers, while the St. Louis Blues have placed defenceman Nate Prosser on waivers. The two veteran blue liners can be had for the low, low price of simple waiver claim. So, should they go for it? If so, which player would you like to see in a Leafs jersey?

The 32-year-old Quincey has played 18 games with the Wild this season, scoring three assists. He’s a 14-year NHL veteran who has played some big minutes for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils, Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings.

The 31-year-old Prosser was a long-time member of the Wild before signing with the Blues this past offseason. He’s managed to work his way into just one game with the Blues this season, however.

So, what’s your call? Should the Leafs make a claim on Quincey or Prosser?
