Your Call: Who’s better? Marchand or Pastrnak?

Both elite talents, but who has the edge?

It’s been a long time since the Boston Bruins have had two elite offensive talents on their roster simultaneously, but that’s exactly what they currently have in forwards Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak. Well, they will once Pastrnak is eventually re-signed, at least…

While the dynamic duo are used to lighting the lamp against the opposition, today we pit them against one another in our latest fan poll. We want to know, who do you think is the better player? Marchand or Pastrnak?

Judging by the raw numbers, Marchand has the slight edge. His 39 goals and 85 points in 80 games last season are clearly superior to Pastrnak’s 34 goals and 70 points in 75 games. In the playoffs however, both forwards earned four points in the team’s six games against the Ottawa Senators.

Does Pastrnak gain an edge on Marchand due to his age? The 20-year-old Pastrnak is eight years younger than Marchand and has true superstar potential in his future. If we run this poll question again next offseason has Pastrnak vaulted himself past Marchand?

Regardless of who you feel is better, the Bruins are obviously lucky to have both talents in their lineup. Who do you think is the better player?
