It's probably going to go down as a season of what ifs for the Minnesota Wild, after an impressive comeback to even make it to the playoffs the team suffered a quick first round exit. It's the injuries that will have fans wondering what could have been.

One of the many injured players for the Wild was Zach Parise, who suffered a debilitating back injury that kept him out of the playoffs, and by the sounds of some reports could keep him out even longer than that. On Wednesday Parise spoke to reporters, and while he did admit the injury was quite scary for a while, he reassured them and his fans that the injury will not impact him going into next season,

"It's been really scary. It was a little eye-opening. I'm not worried about the start of next year."

The news will come as a big sign of relief for fans who were reasonably worried when reports of Parise losing feeling in his left leg began to surface. Parise however, while not still fully healthy, is pleased with the progress he's making in recovery.

"I feel like the way it's been progressing, I'll be able to train like I usually do."

Expect him back on the ice next season, and perhaps even at the World Cup of Hockey.
