When forward Mats Zuccerallo was traded to the Dallas Stars in return for two draft picks at the deadline, there wasn't a dry eye in the New York Rangers' dressing room. He has been missed, more than the former Ranger though it could be possible.

Zuccerallo is now hosting his former teammates on Tuesday, as the Rangers are in Dallas for a tilt, however, the traded man cannot face his former team since hebroke his arm in his first game with Dallas blocking a shot. He was still ready to hang out with them after practice and still revealed some hilarious details about how badly Rangers' Mika Zibanejad misses him.

"Mika [Zibanejad], he misses me like I was his boyfriend. He FaceTimes me every day."

The Rangers centre has no trouble admitting he missed his friend.

“It was hard,” Zibanejad said. “We’re still going to be friends. We talk a lot. That doesn’t change. Obviously, you want him in your locker room. You want him on the ice with you. But that’s the business and you learn to deal with it and you learn to accept it and you move on, because you have to.”

Rangers star goalie was quite emotional in the team's first game without Zuccarello after the deadline. A video of the netminder went viral as he held back tears.

On Tuesday, when asked about the video, Zuccarello told reporters, “He’s a good actor."

While Zuccarello's family and friends were getting ready for an emotional game for tonight, it will be a bit lighter than he isn't in the lineup. However, Zuccarello remains excited to see his former teammates in action.

"Everyone around me and my family was like that's going to be an emotional game and a fun game," Zuccarello said. "It sucks that I can't play, but I'll be watching. Still excited to have the guys here."
