Fans in Boston were not happy.

The Boston Bruins welcomed the Tampa Bay Lightning to TD Garden on Wednesday night and things began to get rough midway through the second period of the game.

With the Bruins thoroughly dominating the game members of the Tampa Bay roster began to take liberties with some of the Boston players, but what angered the crowd the most was a penalty called on agitator Brad Marchand.

Marchand was awarded a penalty for embellishment when he took what look like a relatively solid crosscheck to the chest from Lightning rookie defenseman Mikhail Sergachev, something the Bruins' faithful at TD Garden clearly disagreed with.

While the National Hockey League officials were drowned in a chorus of boos from the crowd, the Bruins scored just seconds after and the crowd seemingly forgot it's anger at the referees.
