The Florida Panthers did not like what they saw early in the third period of their Friday night match up against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Panthers lost veteran goaltender Roberto Luongo when he was hit in the crease by 25-year-old Penguins forward Connor Sheary while between the pipes in his crease.

The hit from Sheary was in no way malicious in fact initially it wasn't even clear that Sheary had made contact with Luongo. However the video review showed that Sheary did collide with Luongo's arm as he tried to avoid the veteran goalie, pinning Luongo's arm between his body and the post.

Luongo could be seen attempting to flex his hand as the trainer attended to him and there wasn't much movement to be seen, we assume that is the part of his body where the injury has occurred.
