Breaking: Matt Duchene already has his first goal of the season.

It didn't look like Matt Duchene had any interest in starting the season as a member of the Colorado Avalanche, but sometimes you just have to play the hand you were dealt. 

Despite his issues with the organization Duchene showed no lack of effort on Thursday night when he opened up the scoring early for the Colorado Avalanche by battling for a loose puck in front of the Rnagers net. 

You could clearly see that there was a little something extra special about this goal for Duchene as he exclaimed loudly and pumped his fist after putting it in the back of the Rangers net. 

This is certainly a good way to show teams who are considering the possibility of acquiring you that you're worth the price.
