Breaking: Tough guy Tom Wilson injured after big hit along the boards.
NHL

One of the toughest men in the entire National Hockey League looks like he may have suffered a serious injury.

On Wednesday night with the Washington Capitals taking on the Chicago Blackhawks, Capital veteran tough guy Tom Wilson was seemingly very injured after taking a big hit along the boards from Chicago's Lance Bouma.

The hit from Bouma appeared to be perfectly clean, however it only partially connected with Wilson resulted in his arm and shoulder being crushed between Bouma's body and the boards.

While there has been no official word from the Capitals regarding the injury yet, I believe that it is to his right arm or shoulder area. It has to be said that this is pure speculation on my part and in fact Wilson's head also collided with the boards, but the trainers were  looking at his arm and shoulder rather than his head when he left to the locker room.

Wilson is not one to show pain so there is concern this could be serious.

Update: Wilson appears to be ok, he is back out on the ice.
