Corey Crawford gets rocked by a headshot from Shea Weber.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber nearly took Corey Crawford's head off on Tuesday night.

The Chicago Blackhawks goalie sacrificed his body when he stood in front of an absolute rocket from Weber, widely regarded as the man with the most dangerous shot in the league. Unfortunately for Crawford the shot ended up catching him square in the head, snapping his head and neck back in the process.

Needless to say Crawford was quite understandably shaken up on the play, and while the officials stopped play and made sure he was ok, Crawford elected to remain in the game despite still looking dazed.

Certainly the man deserves a ton of credit for remaining in the game, but some are openly wondering if the Blackhawks wouldn't have been better off having him head to the back to be examined by team personnel before continuing the game.
