Corey Perry attempts to injure projected top draft pick in 2016.

There was a very, very questionable hit during the World Championships this week.

During a match up between the Canada and Finland, National Hockey League forward Corey Perry delivered an ugly trip to one of the NHL's top projected picks at the 2016 draft, Patrik Laine.

It wasn't the most brutal of cheap shots, but it was certainly a dangerous one and it was delivered to one of the most exciting young stars expected to join the ranks of the NHL next season. It also doesn't help that the shot came from one of the most polarizing players in the NHL. 

When asked about the trip Perry reportedly denied any knowledge of the incident ever even happening.
