Crosby with sick no look behind the back assist

There isn't much stopping the Pittsburgh Penguins as of late. Last night we had some examples of why.

First, the Pens have their two best players, Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby sitting 2-3 in points and considering they have a few games in hand on Connor McDavid, passing him might come sooner than later.

Second, scoring depth. The Penguins have everyone firing on all cylinders right now. They are just destroying teams right now. They lead the league in goals scored and have scored 19 goals in their last 3 games. Yeah, they were all wins. Malkin and Crosby are playing on another level and everyone else is better because of it.

Just ask Conor Sheary. He scored 2 more goals last night, the second in which he was set up by a beautiful behind the back spin pass from Crosby. When asked about it after the game, Sheary said he didn't even know Sidney knew he was there. Sheary is having a fantastic season playing on the left wing of Crosby. He 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points in just 38 games. We aren't taking anything away from Sheary or even Bryan Rust who play with Sid, but Crosby has that capability to make he linemates so much better.

Here is the second Sheary goal, courtesy of NHL.com
