On Tuesday night the Las Vegas Golden Knights were awarded the first penalty shot in the history of their young National Hockey League franchise.

The man who took the shot was 29-year-old Golden Knights forward David Perron was the man who took the shot after he was hooked on a partial breakaway in the games second period.

Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqbist made a crazy save on the initial play to stop Perron, however what would have normally been a highlight reel save was wiped away moments later by Perron.

The former St. Louis Blues first round draft pick made good on his attempt, beating Lundqvist the second time around, giving the Golden Knights a 100% rate of success on penalty shots.
