Flyers rookie Konecny drops the gloves with Pirri after questionable hit on teammate.

Philadelphia Flyers winger Travis Konecny is not in the line up for his physical prowess but he showed a surprising willingness to drop the gloves on Friday.

After his teammate Brandon Manning was the victim of a questionable hit from the New York Rangers' Brandon Pirri the 19-year-old rookie forward went after Pirri in a big way, first challenging him with a stiff crosscheck to the arm before dropping his gloves.

The fight wasn't much to write home about but Konency did seem to get the better of Pirri first tossing him to the ice with a judo-like hip toss and then raining down a few short punches on Pirri's head as the officials scramble to seperate the two men.

As a side note, the image of Konency heading to the box with his helmet on backwards is everything.
