Flyers rookie scores his first career NHL goal!

It's a big night for Flyers rookie defenseman Ivan Provorov and it couldn't have come at a better time.

With the news that forward Sean Couturier would miss more than a month due to injury today the Flyers really needed a boost of positivity and Provorov provided that with his first career National Hockey League goal, and he did it against a tough opponent in the Tampa Bay Lightning.

It was a win on the face off that eventually set up Provorov with a golden opportunity, but it was Provorov himself who made the most of that opportunity burrying a wrist shot past goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy to open up a one goal lead for the Flyers late in the second period.
