Jared Spurgeon collects the puck on the rush and beats Corey Crawford short side with a quick wrister, putting the Wild on the board in the 2nd. He made it 2-1 37 seconds after Nick Schmaltz made it 2-0 with a wrist shot off the crossbar.

Even if the Wild lost against the Chicago Blackhawks, Zach Parise recognized after the game it was an epic battle and showed lots of respect over the Hawks : 

"That's a big compliment for us from a team like that. You usually look at the [Blackhawks] as a measuring stick to see where you are compared to everyone else. That shows we're playing the right way on most nights. We know there's still a lot of hockey and a lot of games left, so we have to make sure we keep improving and we're peaking at the right time."
