Johnny Gaudreau gets DESTROYED by Leo Komarov!

When you are a star player in the league, you tend to get more attention and it isn't always the type of attention you want. 

Johnny Gaudreau already missed some time this season after receiving multiple slashes to his hands and tonight he got absolutely obliterated by Leo Komarov.

Gaudreau received the puck on the right boards in his own zone and made a pass to start the rush on the power play when Komarov drove his shoulder right through Gaudreau. Komarov had a lot of speed when he made his check and Gaudreau wasn't looking at Komarov which left him quite vulnerable. Johnny Hockey took a while to get up and went right to the Flames' dressing room with the trainer. 

It was an explosive hit. Komarov seemed to have caught Gaudreau in the face due to their size difference. Flames captain Mark Giordano dropped the gloves right away against Komarov to come to the defense of his star forward.
