The New York Rangers have had some bad luck heading into the playoffs with a number of injuries to key players, and that streak of bad luck continued on Wednesday night in Game 1 of the playoffs.

Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist had stopped every shot he had faced for the Pittsburgh Penguins but that change when he took a stick right to the eye from his teammate, Rangers defenseman Marc Staal. Clearly the eye poke was not intentional, but it shook up Lundqvist who even went to the bench to have his eye looked at before eventually returning to his net.

It didn't take long for the Penguins to capitalize however, the next shot they fired towards Lundqvist fooled him, and it looked like he never saw it coming as it trickled in behind him and into the net.
