Matt Martin loses an edge, and what happens next is hilarious.

On Monday night Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matt Martin lost the blade of his skate at just about the worst possible spot on the ice.

Martin was just striding into the offensive zone, seemingly in an effort to challenge the puck carrier, when suddenly the blade of his skate appeared to explode. It then traveled a fair distance before landing near another Bruins player, David Pastrnak.

What happened next was nothing short of hilarious. Martin began attempting to push himself towards the Maple Leafs' bench but appeared to give up half way there, throwing his hands up in a frustration at the official. Seemingly feeling sorry for Martin the officials blew the play dead and his teammates carried him to the bench.

While it will be funny to the casual observer however, Bruins fans are less likely to be amused. This is a critical game for both teams, and while this was an advantage for Boston, the officials genuinely let play continue in these scenarios.
