Must See: Mantha and Hamonic throw down on the bench!

Last night’s laugher 8-2 laugher between the Detroit Red Wings and Calgary Flames got out of hand late in the third period when it was clear that the Flames had no chance of coming back against the Wings.

You’ve surely seen the clips of Luke Witkowski and Brett Kulak brawling already, but what you may have missed was Anthony Mantha and Travis Hamonic going at it… on the bench! The pair were jostling alongside the bench without realizing that the gate was open. Hamonic fell back with full force and Mantha rained BOMBS down on top of him.

Old time hockey! We love it! For the record, Hamonic appeared bloodied after the massacre, but there’s no word yet on whether or not he sustained an injury. Details of his condition to come.
