The Coyotes fans in Glendale underlined Shane Doan's 1500th game with a shower of cowboy hats. It turns out, Doan who's from Halkirk, Alberta is as western as cowboy boots!
"I wasn't tough enough to be a cowboy so i had to be a hockey player... but i'm trying to be a cowboy on the side" said Doan. The Coyotes captain planted his Canadian roots in the desert of Phoenix earlier in his career and the dusty state of Arizona is what he calls home now. To cap it off, the #19 scored his 400th goal during this milestone fulfilled night!
