What a tilt.

Fans who tuned in to the Sunday night matchup between the Winnipeg Jets and the Chicago Blackhawks got an awesome treat during the games second period.

Recently acquired Blackhawks defenseman Nick Seeler dropped the gloves with Winnipeg Jets veteran defenseman Nathan Beaulieu roughly just 5 minutes into the second frame and it was one hell of a tilt. This one was arranged prior to the puck dropping as both men dropped the gloves immediately after the faceoff, however it is unclear exactly what prompted this scrap between the two men. It was a very back and forth affair with both men throwing bombs at one another and both men seemed to land and deal damage to their opponent during this exchange.

If I did have to pick a winner however I think I would have to give this one to Seeler as he not only seemed to land more significant blows during the exchange, but he also appeared to control the fight. If you looked at both men following the fight I think it would also be fair to suggest that Seeler did more damage in this one, with Beaulieu bleeding from his injuries after the fight, while Seeler seemed none the worse for wear.

It was no doubt a very important moment for Seeler who was making his debut as a member of the Blackhawks after being acquired on waivers last month from long time rivals the Minnesota Wild. Seeler not only sent a message to the Winnipeg Jets in this one but also sent a clear message to his teammates in the Blackhawks locker room, one that indicates that Seeler is a man who will do whatever it takes to help his team win.
