NHL players reveal who has the smelliest equipment!
NHL

A great many of us played hockey growing up even though we never made it to the National Hockey League and for that reason many of us have had the unfortunate experience of smelling a particularly stinky hockey bag. They are the bags that we all used to carry our gear back and forth from our homes to the arena but sometimes some kids would forget to properly air out their equipment or just had particularly resilient body odor that just made the whole thing a particularly foul affair.

Believe it or not that problem still exists at the NHL level where admittedly the players equipment is cleaned and treated a lot better than anyone could reasonably expect, however in spite of that there are still players who gross out their teammates with their particular odors. This week we learned the names of several of those players thanks to some teammates who were quick to throw them under the bus when asked about their brothers in arms who happened to also have a little too much funk under the arm.

The National Hockey League surveyed a relatively large sample size of players and asked them about which teammates they felt were the worst offenders in their particular locker rooms. As you would expect there were some players who just flat out refused to ask the question, however the subject was light hearted enough that most of the players involved were willing to expose some of their teammates, all the while wearing a big smile on their faces.

The video actually features some pretty big names from around the league with players like Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, St. Louis Blues forward and Conn Smythe Trophy winner Ryan O'Reilly, O'Reilly's teammate in St. Louis Blues star forward Vladimir TarasenkoMatt Dumba of the Minnesota Wild, former Calder Trophy winner Mathew Barzal of the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres captain Jack Eichel, Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent Hopkins, Chicago Blackhawks stars Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane as well as many more players from around the National Hockey League.

Each player gives his own unique perspective and all of them are worth a laugh to one degree or another. Here is the video courtesy of the NHL.
