The Nashville Predators were not the least bit happy about this play, but one of their own players may have played a significant role in it.

On Friday night Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane drilled Nashville Predators star goaltender Pekka Rinne with a huge hit in his crease, one that appeared to catch Rinne up high.

The hit drove both Kane and Rinne deep into the net and while Kane has been criticized for not making more of an effort to stop on the play, perhaps even rightfully so, it appears that Nashville's Yannick Weber may have helped cause the collision.

In the replay you can see that Weber appears to extend his arm as Kane crashes into Rinne, indicating that Weber may have in fact been shoving Kane from behind.
