The Toronto Maple Leafs dominated the Winnipeg Jets, at least on the scoreboard, through two periods on Wednesday night and that included a huge moment for National Hockey League veteran Patrick Marleau.
Not only did Marleau record his first career goal as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but despite playing nearly 1500 career games in the NHL, it was also his very first goal in a uniform that didn't feature a Sharks logo.
While Marleau benefited from a great pass courtesy of teammate Auston Matthews, he deserves a great deal of credit for the silky smooth hands he showed on this play, completely fooling Winnipeg Jets veteran goaltender Steve Mason.
