Quincey sends Johnson into orbit with the biggest hit of the series!

This was one of if the not the most spectacular looking hit of this series so far.

Detroit Red Wings forward Kyle Quincey sent an early message in Game 4 of Detroit's first round series against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Quincey wasted little time in going after one of Tampa's top forwards in Tyler Johnson, and when he saw the opportunity to punish he made it count.

Quincey dropped a hammer blow onto the smaller man, and the impact of the hit quite literally launched Johnson into the air, and then several feet down the ice before landing. The hit got a big reaction from the crowd and got the local Detroit fans on their feet.

To be fair, the impressive looking nature of the hit was likely aided quite a bit by Johnson's own forward momentum, but it still looked absolutely awesome.
