Rangers forward accidentally kicked in the face with a skate this evening.

It's been a strange and scary night of skate related accidents this evening.

The latest victim is New York Rangers defenseman Brady Skjei, who was accidentally kicked directly in the face with the blade of skate from one of his own teammates. It was an off balance and falling Matt Puempel who sent his leg flying into the air to connect with Skjei's face.

Thankfully as Skjei headed back to the bench he appeared to be relatively unharmed considering the circumstances, with no sense of urgency from the player or the trainer examining him.
