Sergei Bobrovsky drops his stick to make one of the most incredible saves of the year.

My god what a save.

We have seen some beautiful saves in the National Hockey League this season, but this one from Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky may rank above all the rest.

On Tuesday night Montreal Canadiens forward Jacob De La Rose had what was seemingly a glorious scoring chance on a 2-1 play for the Habs, however Bobrovsky shut the door in spectacular fashion.

The two-time Vezina Trophy winner seemingly predicted where De La Rose would shoot, and made the decision to drop his stick as he slid from one side of his net to the other, using his newly-freed hand to swat the puck out of the air for a spectacular save.

Needless to say the reaction from the Montreal crowd and from the broadcast booth was one of complete and total disbelief.
