Tavares celebrates his overtime winner by punching his teammate in the face.

The New York Islanders have just unveiled a new and hilarious goal celebration.

On Tuesday night Islanders captain John Tavares scored the game winning goal in overtime and he celebrated the moment by "punching" teammate Jason Chimera in the face.

Don't worry this wasn't some heat of the moment kind of thing, but rather appeared to be something the two men had planned out way beforehand and by the looks of it may have even practiced a few times.

Pretty great stuff from the Islanders.
