Watch: Lucic scores his first goal as an Oiler!

Let's face it, if the Oilers are going to go as far as Connor McDavid will take them.

However, the Oilers made a big off season signing that they hope will help McDavid lead the way. Milan Lucic. We already saw "Looch" go after Deryk Engelland when he gave McDavid an extra shot.

Lucic is a big physical presence and he will will definitely create some space for his linemates. He was brought in almost as the old style "protector" of the star player. We know Lucic can do more than just fight. He had a career high 30 goals with Boston and the Oilers are hoping that Lucic playing with McDavid and Jordan Eberle could perhaps reach the 30 goal plateau again. Will that happen? We don't know, but he took the first step towards towards that by scoring his first goal tonight.

It was one of his more easy goals but was also a typical Lucic style goal. Leon Draisaitl put the puck on net and Lucic slammed home the rebound. It still is very early in the season, but we can say that so far Milan has had a great start with the Oilers. Now to see if he can continue all season.
