Watch: Toronto's first goal of the regular season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs came out to a very slow start due largely to some unfortunate penalties courtesy of veteran center Leo Komarov, but they turned that around rather drastically by the end of the first period. 

Kicking off that turn around for the Leafs was Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri who, after a wild scramble in front of the Winnipeg Jets net, picked up Toronto first goal of the 2017-2018 National Hockey League regular season.
