Alfie is going to be making the official announcement on December 4th. Alfredsson will hang them up having played 1246 games with Ottawa and Detroit. In those 1246 games, he picked up 1157 points, 444 of them being goals. Alfredsson unfortunately never won a Stanley cup but went to the finals with the Sens in 2007. He did win an Olympic gold medal with Sweden in 2006 and a silver in the 2014 Olympics.
Daniel was always a great leader and will be missed. Good luck Alfie, enjoy your retirement!
