Ryan Kesler was a big part of the Vancouver Canucks for 11 seasons. However, after being quoted saying that the Cauncks are "years away from being a contender", Kesler and his old teammates face off for the first time tonight in Anaheim. No matter how many friends he has on the other side, it will be all business tonight. As for that team who is "years away from being a contender", maybe that comment was the push they needed. The Canucks are only two points behind the Ducks for 1st in the Pacific with a 10-5-0 record after 15 games. The addition of Radim Vrbata to the Sedin's has once again made that line very dangerous and Ryan Miller has been exactly wheat the Canucks management team hoped he would be when they signed him. Miller leads the league with 10 wins and only has 2 losses in 12 games. A win tonight in Anaheim would be a big statement for the Canucks. As for Kesler, He is just lucky the game is in Anaheim tonight, cause I have a feeling the boo birds will be out when he is back in Vancouver.
