According to Dan Murphy from Sportsnet, the Vancouver Canucks management is seeking help from outside the NHL. In fact, they are looking to NBA champs for team-building advice.
TC Carling, VP of hockey administration, met with Canucks president Trevor Linden for a trip to San Antonio where they exchanged about the way to build a championship team.
Linden and Carling spent over 9 hours in the last two days with Spurs General manager RC Buford, as well as Assistant GM Sean Marks and some members of the Spurs human performance department. Carling said that "they have been the most successful team in North American professional sports for nearly 20 years and they were generous with their time, insights and hospitality".
Let's hope it will help the Canucks along the way!
