Anthony Duclair would much rather stay with the Rangers and sit out games than go back to his junior team in Quebec City.
Duclair was quoted by NHL.com staff writer as saying “I’d rather be here than in juniors playing first line, that’s for sure,” and “I think it’s better for me to stay up here. To be honest, it doesn’t matter if I’m not playing every game. Practicing with these type of players every day and being around a pro environment definitely will help me in the future. I think if I go back to junior I don’t have much to prove there anymore.”
It's good to see that such a young player wants to prove himself and stay with the big club. His explosive speed is one of the main reasons he is still in New York, he just has to be more consistent. However, he still is a young player, so he still has much to learn.
