With things not going so well since the All Star break, coach Paul Maurice decided it was time to make the players accountable.
Zach Bogosian was the player who felt the wrath against the Stars on Saturday. Bogosian took two slashing penalties, the second penalty led to a power play goal by the Stars. He then sat on the bench for the better part of the rest of the game. He only played 49 seconds in the second period. Bogosian ended up playing less than 10 minutes in the game.
Bogosian told the Free Press that he let his emotions get the better of him, he then went on to say he screwed up and takes 100% the blame.
That is the type of thing you want to see, a player owning up to his mistake and accepting the consequences. Good on Bogosian, I am pretty sure we can expect a great game from him tonight against Calgary.
