Kessel injured in spite of missing final exhibition game? This might be some seriously troubling news for Leafs fans, Kessel left practice early today with what is being reported as a lower body injury that caused him to miss the Leaf's final exhibition of the preseason against the Red Wings. Kessel, who hasn't missed a regular season game in the last four seasons, is the Leaf's star player and one they cannot afford to lose for any length of time. When asked for comment head coach Randy Carlyle simply stated "He came out and tried it and didn't feel it was 100 per cent."
