After signing a one year deal to return to the NHL and the organization that had originally drafted him, Cody Almond has decided to return to the Swiss league.
Almond will be re-joining Geneve-Servette. He has played for them the last two years and has enjoyed some pretty productive seasons there. In 83 games, he picked up 26 goals and 64 points as well as 131 penalty minutes.
Almond was drafted back in 2007 by the Wild. He only played in 25 games over the years with the Wild and only managed to score two goals. He played sparingly for the Iowa Wild in the AHL this year.
