The Leafs have added a big name to the long list of NHL players who have been placed on IR in the past weeks. Joffrey Lupul was officially played on the IR last night and is expected to be out of the lineup for about 3 weeks with a broken hand. The injury happened during practice where Lupul accidently stepped on a stick and it hit his hand hard. Lupul has definitely not been lucky with injuries, he has been on and off with injuries during his career. This injury has been one of the reasons coach Randy Carlyle has been mixing up his lines to try and find some new chemistry. The leafs are in Arizona tonight where they will take on the Coyotes.
