Detroit Red Wings Stephen Weiss was sent to the Grand Rapids Griffins for conditioning. It lasted less than one game! He had to leave Wednesday after the second period because of a sore groin in the Grand Rapids' 2-1 loss to Rockford. Weiss is headed back to Detroit, where he'll be reevaluated. The Detroit Red Wings forward had played only one game this season, after missing most of last year with a sports hernia.
