20 year old hockey star from Sidney Crosby's hometown dies in tragic house fire
RIP Noah Latimer.
The Truro Bearcats of the Junior A MHL in Truro, Nova Scotia have confirmed that 20 year old forward Noah Latimer has died in a tragic house fire this past weekend.
Latimer was at a cottage on Prince Edward Island with friends, which included three of his Bearcats teammates, when the cottage became engulfed in flames. The other individuals were able to escape with serious, but non-life threatening injuries while Latimer's body was discovered by firefighters.
From the Bearcats:
Obviously, we send our condolences to the family and friends affected by this terrible tragedy.
"Three people who escaped the fire were injured, one with serious injuries. Once the fire was extinguished by the fire departments, human remains of one person were discovered inside.
The scene was held by the RCMP and the investigation is ongoing."
The Capstone Colts of the NSJHL also issued a statement on Latimer's tragic death:
