Forward Marko Dano is going back to where it all started…

The Columbus Blue Jackets made a new acquisition on Thursday, signing Dano to a one-year, two-way contract. The 24-year-old was originally selected in the first round, 27th overall by Columbus at the 2013 NHL Draft.

It has been a tough couple of years for the young forward. Ever since he was picked in the first round, Dano also spent time with the Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets, and Colorado Avalanche. He has put up 19 goals, 26 assists for 45 points across 138 career games.

When he last played for Columbus back in 2014-15, he registered eight goals and  21 points.

Many expected Dano to have a bright future in the NHL when the Blue Jackets picked him 27th overall, but he was traded to the Blackhawks in the deal for Brandon Saad and has been bagging his bags many more times since…

He now has a great opportunity to crack the roster in Columbus, so let’s hope he can convince them and stick around longer.
